On this site, the French army of Philip VI of Valois was defeated by the troops of Edward III, King of England, on August 26, 1346. This date marked the beginning of the Hundred Years' War. Panoramic view from the wooden lookout tower. 6 steel sculptures representing the kings present at the battle (Edouard III, Philippe VI and Jean de Luxembourg) have now been installed in a sculpture garden. Also worth seeing: the Bohemian Cross (on the D56 towards Fontaine-sur-Maye).
