Chapelle et Cloître de l'Hôtel Dieu

Built between 1688 and 1704 on the foundations of an earlier 12th-century building, which has retained its chapel. Particularly noteworthy are the brick and stone cloister and the chapel dedicated to Saint-Nicolas, built between 1717 and 1719. During the 18th century, this chapel was enriched with precious ornamentation, mostly in the Baroque-Rocaille style (paintings by Parrocel, wrought-iron railings attributed to Vivarais), and completed in 1753 with a monumental altarpiece adorned with statues, sculpted by Pfaffenhoffen. In 2025, open every day except Monday in July and August, from 10am to 12pm and from 2pm to 5:30pm; Sunday afternoons only. Guided tours at 10am, 11am, 2pm, 3:15pm or 4:30pm.
